ONE POINT CONVERSION vs TWO POINT CONVERSION
A one point conversion is similar to a field goal attempt except it is done from the two yard line, immediately after a touchdown is scored.
A two point conversion is essentially like attempting to score a second touchdown, immediately after a touchdown is already scored, by passing or running the ball into the end zone. The team that just scored the touchdown must run a play at their opponents two yard line and advance the ball across the goal line in the same fashion as if they were scoring a touchdown. If the attempt is good, the team earns two additional points on top of the six points they scored for the touchdown. If the team fails, no additional points are scored.
